Rocky Road Retreat
Purpose built hunting lodge, ideal for fishing & outdoor adventures, nestled right on the boundary of the rugged Motu Raukumara Forest Park. The 3 room lodge sleeps 13 and provides everything a back-country HQ should, including flush toilets, hot shower, gas cooking, fridge, lighting and a well equipped kitchen. Ideal for corporate team building retreats and is child friendly.
Smokers OK but only outside please. Bring you pets, but no dogs inside the lodge.
The lodge is an ideal getaway for the whole family - a once in a lifetime weekend away from it all in relaxed peaceful surroundings. In addition to your unique and comfortable lodge, there is an abundance of outdoor activities in the area.
Mountain Biking, Hiking, Trail bike riding, Hunting, Canoeing, Swimming, 4x4 driving, trout fishing, 4 wheel motorbike riding, rafting, walking, inner tubing (bring your own gear).
Children can find plenty to entertain themselves safely, playing around in the bush and creek beside the lodge where there is a cut track.
PLEASE NOTE this is a bush lodge. There is a river below for swimming, canoeing, kayaking BUT there is NO beach

- 3 bedroom lodge, sleeps 13. Includes flush toilets, hot shower, gas cooking, fridge, lighting, well equipped kitchen. House has queen sized bed, 2 single beds and 4 sets of bunks. Please bring your own linen/sleeping bag and towels. The nearest shop is an hour's drive away (Opotiki) so be sure to bring plenty of supplies for your stay.
