Situated in picturesque Ohakune, at the foot of Mount Ruapehu, Ossies offers ideal accommodation year round.
Ohakune is on the doorstep of the world heritage Tongariro National Park, and is 20 minutes drive from the Turoa Skifields.
Make the most Ossies summer discounted rates and come to Ohakune to enjoy some of the most beautiful walking tracks in the country, including the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and the Old Coach Road. There are a number of amazing cycle tracks to enjoy and for those less active, plenty of rivers to fish.
All units at Ossies are fully self contained, self catering and have upstairs sleeping. They have drying rooms for damp ski gear and are cosy and well heated.
Our midweek winter specials are designed to entice couples to the slopes Sunday to Thursday. Avoid the queues and come and stay with us for 5 nights for a total of $410.
Our 5 bedroom chalets are HUGE, sleeping up to 13 people - ideal for work and family trips away. There is a wood burner in the lounge and loads of space for everyone.
There is plenty of off street parking at Ossies and as well, Ossies has its own ski and board rental and is the home of telemark skiing in New Zealand.
Room Descriptions
- 2 bedroom chalet for 4 people
- Chalet has two upstairs bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two sets of bunks. Downstairs is the lounge area, the kitchen and bathroom with shower and separate toilet. There is a small drying room for damp ski gear and an outside lockable cupboard for skis and boards.
Price includes base linen only (fitted sheet and pillow with pillow case). If you would like towels and duvets provided, there is an additional one off charge for the chalet of $30. Please advise on booking - Book Here

- Mid week special in a one bedroom motel unit for two people.
Unit has upstairs sleeping for 6 with a double bed, set of bunks and two roll-away type beds. Downstairs is a full kitchen with oven, lounge area and bathroom with separate toilet and shower.
Base linen is provided. If towels and duvets are required, please advise reception prior to arrival - extra $30 for the unit for all linen.

Heat pumps in chalets to keep them warm and cosy.

Sleeping is upstairs. One room with a double bed and the other bedroom with two sets of bunks. Two chalets have two divan beds downstairs in lounge area as well.

- Huge 5 bedroom chalets which sleep 13 in comfort. Woodburner in spacious lounge area, huge kitchen and bathroom with two showers and two toilets.
Ideal for a family get together, work social trips and school parties.
All sleeping is upstairs. Two bedrooms have double beds, one bedroom has one set of bunk beds, one bedroom has a set of bunk beds and a single bed and the fifth bedroom has two sets of bunk beds.
Base linen is provided (fitted sheet and pillow with pillow case). Extra charge of $60 for the unit if towels and duvets provided. Please notify reception prior to arrival if linen is required.
