Otahuna Country House
Otahuna Country House was built on 12 acres of wooded terrain in Kahutara, in the heart of the South Wairarapa, about 100 years ago.
You can stay in newly refurbished rooms in the main house, or in a very tidy private cottage at the edge of the property.
Breakfast is included, and dinner by arrangement. Cottage guests may choose to self cater if desired, providing almost complete autonomy.
Otahuna Country House is about 15 minutes from Greytown, Featherston or Martinborough - putting all the local vineyards and cafes at your fingertips.
A 25 minute drive will take you to Lake Ferry or the seal colony on the coast and 40 minutes will see you over the hill into Wellington.

- The Harakeke Suite
- Stunning and opulent. Lay on the NZ Wool carpet in front of the fire, while keeping up to date via wireless network or Sky TV - or not.

- The Kowhai Room
- Quiet, discreet and comfortable. The Kowhai room opens onto an, enclosed verandah, with stair access to a cool, grassed and tree-lined courtyard. The en suite bathroom has a new shower and modern fittings.

- The Pines Cottage
- The Pines is a secluded, self-contained cottage. It is positioned at the end of a private accessway among the trees at the edge of Otahuna's grounds.
Modern kitchen and bathroom fittings add the pampered feeling to a cute and cosy retreat.

- The Pohutukawa Room
- Modern, Light and airy, this beautiful room has a new en suite bathroom and opens out through double-glazed doors onto a spacious patio complete with barbeque, tables and recliner.

- This room has been remodelled and refurbished with an eye to history and posterity.
The bay window overlooks a tree-lined courtyard, which is accessed from the enclosed verandah.
